Description

Experience a scenic guided hike across the dramatic landscapes of the Faroe Islands. Starting high on the Sornfelli plateau, the trail descends through green valleys and past glacial boulders to the remote village of Norðadalur with beautiful ocean views.

After a short scenic drive along the historic mountain road Oyggjarvegur, we start our hike near the pass of Skeiðskarð on the Sornfelli plateau.
The trail leads past impressive glacial boulders before continuing along green mountain slopes dotted with small lakes. Along the way, your guide shares stories about traditional stone cairns used for navigation in the Faroese mountains.
The route gradually descends through a peaceful valley following a small stream toward the remote village of Norðadalur. From several viewpoints we enjoy beautiful views of the island of Koltur and the North Atlantic.
This guided hike offers a perfect mix of dramatic landscapes, local history and quiet Faroese nature.
After reaching Norðadalur we return comfortably to Tórshavn by vehicle.
